In June 2008 at the Farnborough Airshow, Flydubai announced that it had ordered 50 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft that cost close to $3.74 billion. On January 2014, the company finalized its deal of acquiring 75 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 11 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, along with 25 more Boeing 737 MAX flights, taking the order close to $8.8 billion.
