Take advantage of the Marhaba lounge

October 29, 2008

Entrance to the Marhaba lounge in Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (DXB)If you're one of the millions of travelers each year who skip the luxury of premium air travel, but wished you could spend the three hour countdown to your flight away from the hustle of the usual departure gate, take advantage of the Marhaba lounge at Dubai International Airport's Terminal 1.

The facility's Arabian-themed seating area, continental food court and business center are open to travelers flying any class, on any airline, throughout the day for a modest USD 25. Better yet, if you're a MasterCard Titanium, Platinum or World Card cardholder, you can enjoy unlimited complimentary use of the lounge until January 2009.

You'll also find that unwinding in a lounge can be a great way to take your mind off the stress of getting through the airport, which people often cite as the most taxing part of their journey.

For those of you interested in something more substantial, the airport also offers a first and business class lounge with rooms and shower facilities to travelers flying any class, on any airline; however, we were unable to confirm their fees.

    What about Sharjah airport?

  • Sohail said

Sharjah Airport has a decent business lounge with a place to take a quick nap. The staff are courteous enough to wake you up just in time to head for the departure gate.
