The origins of Liao Fan Hawker Chan?

The huge success of Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle motivated Meng to open a quick-service restaurant that he named: ‘Liao Fan Hawker Chan.

The restaurant can accommodate 80 diners and also offers take-out service. The menu is similar to the above street food stall; the additions include wonton soup and Thai-style tofu with combo platter options. Of course, it’s more spacious with amenities that include an air-conditioner.

However, this comfortable dining experience comes with a slightly higher price. The soy sauce chicken rice dish that you would get for SG$2 at the street stall will now set you back around SGD$3.80 which is approximately US$2.76.
