In Singapore, using another person’s Wi-Fi is considered illegal. It is deemed as hacking according to Singapore’s Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act. The offender will either have to face three years imprisonment, pay a fine of $10,000, or both.

Do not litter

If caught for minor litter like parking coupons, chocolate wrappers, etc., the offender will have to pay a fine of $300. For littering large items like food wrappers and plastic bags, a fine of up to $1,000 will be imposed. The fine for repeated littering may go up to $5,000 and offenders will have to identify themselves as ‘litterbugs’ and clean the streets.

Remember to flush the toilet

If you do not flush the public toilet after use, be prepared to pay a fine of $150. The elevators in Singapore have Urine Detection Devices. So, if anyone urinates in the elevator, an alarm will go off and the doors will close until the police arrive.

Do not sell gums

Selling gums is banned in Singapore (chewing gums is okay though). As per Singapore Statutes Online, when caught while selling gums or smuggling them into the country, the offender will be fined $100,000 or will have to face imprisonment of up to two years.
