    ARRIVAL TO YEREVAN, ARMENIA

    • Arrival to Yerevan, meet and greet at the airport.

    DILIJAN Itinerary

    TSAGHKADZOR - LAKE SEVAN- DILIJAN – TSAGHKADZOR TOUR

    • Breakfast in the hotel.
    • TSAGHKADZOR ROPEWAY- which is located on a slope of Teghenis Mountain offers you a ride with a beautiful view to Tsaghkadzor City & near mountains.
    • LAKE SEVAN is the largest body of water in both Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia. The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900.44 m (6,235 ft) above sea level.
    • SEVANAVANK is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. According to an inscription found in the territory, the monastery was built by Armenian princess Mariam, daughter of Ashot I, who later became the king of Armenia and the founder of Bagratuni dynasty.
    • DILIJAN is one of the ancient Armenian cities where tourists can find amazing historical sights. Dilijan is also a famous resort city. The air is crystal clear here thanks to the dense mountain forests surrounding the city. Dilijan is considered an important cultural center of the country. The large natural mass surrounding the city has the status of a national park. Dilijan is very popular among tourists due to its special, healing climate and clean air. Due to the similarity of natural conditions, the city is sometimes called “Armenian Switzerland”. In Dilijan, according to the discretion of the guests, also taking into consideration the weather conditions, we will visit either Parz lake (adventurous place & nature wonder) or Haghartsin monastery (historical destination & stunning nature views).
    • Return to the hotel from the trip around evening time.

    GARNI Pagan Temple

    GARNI - GEGHARD & YEREVAN CITY TOUR

    • CHARENC ARCH - Driving along the Yerevan - Garni highway, you can see the Charents Arch on the right side of the road on a hill. The monument is named after the great Armenian poet and great patriot Yeghishe Charents. From here a stunning view of the great biblical mountain Ararat opens all day long.
    • GARNI is a pagan temple and best-known structure & symbol of pre- Christian Armenia. It is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia. The structure was probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the sun god Mihr.
    • GEGHARD meaning "Spear", originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion. It’s a medieval monastery which was partially carved out of the adjacent mountain. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

     

    Yerevan City tour

    • MOTHER ARMENIA, a statue which was constructed to replace a monumental statue of Joseph Stalin.
    • CASCADE, a giant stairway in the capital city which links the downtown Kentron area of Yerevan with the Monument neighborhood. The stairs afford walkers unobstructed views of central Yerevan and Mount Ararat.
    • OPERA HOUSE - designed by the Armenian architect Alexander Tamanyan.
    • REPUBLIC SQUARE awaits you next. Republic Square is very famous for the dancing water fountains , which are singing from 21.00-23.00. (free day Tuesday).

    • MOUNT ARAGATS is an isolated four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. The Highest peak of Armenia. During this tour guests will be amazed with the views of Aragatsotn province. We guarantee unforgettable memories.
    • SAGHMOSAVANK is a 13th-century monastery located atop the precipitous gorge carved by the Kasagh river.
    • ARMENIAN ALPHABET was invented in 405 AD by Mesrop Mashtots with the assistance of Sahak Partev in order to translate the Bible into Armenian. It is composed as a prayer, beginning with A as Astvats (God) and ending with K' as Kristos (Christ).

     

    Note:After Aragats tour guide will take you to VERNISSAGE souvenir market, here you will find souvenirs & traditional Armenian products. Shopping time is unlimited, as here you will be on your own. Also, the guide will show you the most popular & testy restaurants in the area.
