We begin our tour on the coach, introducing the major historical areas of Prague: the New Town with Wenceslas Square at its heart, the charming Old Town and the picturesque Lesser Town. Next, we drive up to the castle for the highlight of the trip through the Prague Castle complex to discover the major sights within.
On the tour our guide brings the magnificent castle buildings to life, explaining their turbulent history, and their royal and presidential connections. We admire the grandeur of Saint Vitus Cathedral, the ancient architecture of the Old Royal Palace, the state apartments, the fortifications and towers, and other historic churches and national treasures. Finally, we enjoy the stunning views over the whole of Prague.
From Prague Castle we walk down to the Vltava River via a flight of steps (the steps are lengthy, but wide and deep, and so fairly easy to walk down).
We then stroll across the city's historic river crossing, Charles Bridge, which presents yet more wonderful panoramic views. And we continue on through the Jewish Quarter and on to explore the Old Town. The tour finishes at the Old Town Square. Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

After breakfast, we leave for Budapest as per scheduled time on the way we stop at Bratislava for orientation tour.
Bratislava - the capital of Slovakia. It is also the political, cultural and economic centre of Slovakia. Bratislava is neatly divided by the Danube River. On the north bank are the less attractive high-rise blocks erected under Communist occupation (1968-89). On the north bank is the comparatively tiny but beautifully restored historic quarter of the Old Town (Stare Mesto), now devoted almost entirely to tourism.
Bratislava Old Town, much of which is pedestrianised, is characterized by its charming Hapsburg baroque architecture, including many former palaces. Hlavne Square sits at its heart, containing the Old City Hall, and parallel, running north to south, the old Michalska and Venturska streets lead past a number of historical sites. The town has a rich musical pedigree and includes the childhood performance venues of Mozart and Franz Liszt. After that we commence our journey to Budapest, total time of travel approx. 4 hours. Meals: Breakfast and dinner.
