    Arrival and transfer to Gudauri

Upon arrival at Tbilisi international airport, you’ll meet with a representative and will be transferred to the ski resort in Gudauri via the Georgian Military Highway.

On the way, we will see the Ananuri fortress, which is located on the shores of Lake Zhinvali. The early feudal era fortress belonged to one of the most powerful families of late medieval Georgia: Aragvi Eristavi. It served as an outpost of defence, blocking the road running from the Daryal Gorge in the Caucasian mountains.

Next stop is the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument a.k.a the Treaty of Georgievsk. It was built to celebrate the two-hundredth anniversary of the Treaty of Georgievsk and stands as a reminder of the ongoing friendship between Georgia and Soviet Russia. The monument is a large, round, stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil’s Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. We will spend the night at a guesthouse in Gudauri.
