Three fabulous reasons why it’s great to travel in autumn

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all.”

– Stanley Horowitz

And rightly so! Autumn might be sometimes linked to melancholy because of the falling leaves. But it is also one of the greatest seasons – the leaves turn into bright yellow, the surroundings are blanketed in warm colors and the air gets crisper and cooler. Despite such wonderful hues around, autumn is not the most favorite season to travel. But we would like to turn this concept on its head and tell you why autumn is fantastic. So get ready to watch the golden autumn glow at dawn and jump into a fresh pile of leaves.

1. The temperature is optimum

Summer is great for a beach vacation and winter is what snow sports are made for, but autumn is perfect for everything else in between. Imagine taking a hop-on, hop-off bus in the sweltering heat. Not very fancy, isn’t it? Standing in long queues or walking around town is better when the climate is cooler. But consider walking back from the nightclub in winter. You will be shivering in the bone-chilling cold. This is why we think autumn is great for travel.

2. Autumn travel is lighter on your pocket

Summer is the peak season of travel, thanks to the school vacations. Many people fly out of the country during the winter break as well to take part in the Christmas festivities and ring in the New Year. So whether your holiday costs you a fortune or not depends on when you choose to travel. That is exactly why we strongly recommend autumn travel. In autumn, the flights are cheaper, so are the hotel stays.

3. It is less crowded

This is a no-brainer. Since most people prefer to travel during summer or winter, the holiday destinations are less frequented during autumn. And we all know what that means. It simply translates to shorter queues in front of the landmarks, fewer selfie sticks up in the air and more chances of you enjoying the spirit of the city.

So what are you waiting for? Slip into your boots, wrap your knit scarves and enjoy the autumn hues.
