United Kingdom plays a great host all throughout the year, but if you have the luxury to cherry-pick when to holiday, then August is a fitting time to visit. For the starters, the climate is warm but nice enough to enjoy the outdoors. We know that the hangover of Brexit is looming large on the horizon. But UK is an attractive holiday destination, not despite the Brexit, but because of it. Pray why? As the pound has dropped sharply against the dollar following the Brexit, a vacation to UK will hurt your bank balance a little less. Apart from the nice climate and the less extravagant budget, there is a more compelling reason to holiday in UK in August. There are a whole bunch of festivals lined up for you to indulge in. These are some of our most favourites:

Creamfields

Creamfields is one of the largest electronic music and dance festivals in the world. This humongous festival will be held at Daresbury, Cheshire from 25th to 28th of August. Tourists from all over the world choose to visit UK during this time to enjoy this dance and music fiesta. This music festival has to its credit, many awards and has hosted events across the world. The line-up for this year includes big names like Axwell Ingrosso, Clavin Harris and Fatboy Slim. Before you travel to attend this fest, stock up on your energy. You will need all of it and more while you are there.

Reading Festival

The Reading Festival is a hugely popular rock musical festival held annually at Reading, England. This festival is always paired with the lesser popular Leeds Festival, both of which take place during the August Bank Holiday weekend in two different venues. One of the oldest popular music festivals, Reading festival has hosted many music moguls such as Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Guns n’ Roses, Eminem and Nirvana.

V Festival

Sponsored by Virgin Media, this is an annual music festival held in England during the month of August. This iconic festival is held at two different venues simultaneously, with the performers switching the venues after their respective performances. This versatile music fest features many genres such as pop, rock, hip hop, alternative and electronic music. This year’s line up at V Fest will see headline performances from Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

Fringe Festival

 

Edinburgh
Fringe Festival is an exuberant art festival. Hosted by the charming city of Edinburgh, this mega event is the world’s largest art festival. This fest provides a great platform for performers from the fields of dance, music, theatre, comedy and opera. Many artists from the world over perform at this vibrant open-access festival and exhibit their art forms. This is one of those visual marvels that is sure to enamour you.
