Pegasus Airlines

    Founded in 1990, Pegasus Airlines is a low-cost carrier headquartered in the Kurtköy area of Pendik, Istanbul, Turkey. It was formerly a charter airline in partnership with Aer Lingus, but now it is completely controlled by Esas Holding. It has its main hub in Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Ataturk International Airport (from 2015). Its main focus cities are Adana Airport, Adnan Menderes Airport (IZair), Antalya Airport and Esenboğa International Airport. Pegasus Airlines was named as the cheapest European low cost airlines according to research held in October 2013and June 2014.

    Pegasus Airlines’ fleet consists of 54 aircraft, including 47 Pegasus aircraft, 6 Izair and 1 Air Manas aircraft. Out of the 47 Pegasus airplanes, 43 are Boeing B737-800s and 4 are Airbus A320-214s.

    Pegasus Airlines operates a one-class interior configuration on all of its flights. Passengers can access the “Flying Café” facility for hot meals for an additional charge. You can even enjoy in-Flight entertainment, although you might need to pay for the headphones. Currently, only overhead screens are available on selected 737-800 flights and they only display a computer-generated map showing the flight's progress.
