Precision Air

    Established in 1993, Precision Air is a Tanzanian airline. It has its base at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. The airline also has a mini-hub at Mwanza Airport. During 2013, Precision Air had the highest market share in Tanzania. The airline was incorporated in 1991 and started operating in 1993. It provided charter air transport but shifted to scheduled flights services to serve tourism market. The airline became the first Tanzanian airline to pass IATA.

    The fleet

    At present, the airline has a total of 9 aircrafts from the ATR family. This includes ATR 42-500, 42-600 and 72-500. The ATR42-500 and 42-600 has a capacity of 48 passengers and ATR 72-500 has 70. The company owned ATR 42-320, Boeing 737-300 and Bombardier Dash 8 in the past. In 2012, the airline became the first to operate ATR 42-600. The program is still underway and 4 more of similar planes are expected to be delivered soon. The last ATR plane was delivered in 2010.

    Destinations

    The airline provides 11 destinations in Africa. The airline operates scheduled passenger service to Nairobi and Tanzanian airports. The destinations include Tanzania, Kenya, and Comoros. The airline has codeshare agreements with Kenya Airways, LAM Mozambique Airlines, and Rwanda Air. The airline has an agreement with Qatar Airways allowing the passengers to connect with east Africa. It also has agreements with other airlines about baggage and ticketing process.

    Business Class

    Paa Royal is a frequent flyer program designed for the loyal customers of the airline. The rewards include award ticket, hotels, car rentals and much more. Hence, the more a person flies more would be the rewards. There are 4 tiers to the program called Jade, Silver, Gold, and Tanzanite.

    Onboard Facilities

    The airline provides refreshment on the flights. The domestic passengers are allowed 23 kgs in the flight. If any passenger carries more than 23 kg, they will have to pay TZS 10,000 per kilo. The flight offers duty-free shopping which includes watches, jewellery, sunglasses, gadgets and much more.

    Online booking and Check In

    The airline does not provide an online check-in option at the moment. But, the passengers are recommended to reach the airport on time to complete the formalities without delays.
