SAS Scandinavian Airlines

    Established in 1946, SAS Scandinavian is the largest flag carrier of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The airline has headquarters at the SAS Frösundavik Office Building in Solna. The main hub is at Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport, with connections to over 50 cities in Europe. SAS is also one of the founding members of the world's largest alliance, Star Alliance. The airline is a pool of the transatlantic operations of Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik, Det Danske Luftfartselskab, and Det Norske Luftfartselskap.

    The consortium was prolonged to cover European and domestic cooperation two years later. In 2014/2015, a total of 28.1 million passengers flew with SAS to 119 destinations in Europe, the US, and Asia. Altogether, Star Alliance contributes 18,500 everyday departures to 1,330 destinations around the world.

    The fleet

    The airline serves 182 aircraft to 90 destinations. Stockholm-Arlanda Airport with more than 30 European connections. It consists of Airbus A319, A321, A330, A320 and A340, Boeing 737, and Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.

    Destinations

    Oslo Airport, Gardermoen are the other major hubs. It also serves small hubs like Bergen Airport, Flesland, Trondheim Airport, VærnesGothenburg-Landvetter Airport, Stavanger Airport and Sola. SAS Carrier is an independent and wholly owned subsidiary of Scandinavian Airlines.

    Business Class

    For long-haul flights business class, the airline offers wide sleeper seats. On the Airbus A330s and upgraded A340s seating is 1-2-1 on seats that can convert into 196–202 cm flat beds. It also has sockets and a 15-inch screen for entertainment. On the non-upgraded A340 seating is 2-2-2 that can turn into angled beds. On the Boeing 737, seating is 2-2 with the old business class seats.

    Onboard Facilities

    SAS offer WiFi on board for their long haul aircraft. WiFi is free for Business class members. Otherwise, Wifi can be obtained for €6/$7/1000 EuroBonus points for flights in Scandinavia/Europe and €15/$19/3000 EuroBonus points on all other flights.

    Online booking and Check In

    Online booking required a reference or the card connected to passenger's reservation. The Airline Offers Quick web check-in facility and boarding pass can also be printed from home/office. The passenger can proceed to the security check at the airport. Check-in & seat selection are available with SAS from 22 hours to 1 hour before departure for travel with SAS.
