    • On your arrival at the international airport in Delhi and after clearing customs & immigration, our representative will receive and escort you to your hotel.
    • Delhi, the capital of India, is a city that offers a glimpse of both ancient and modern- day India.
    • It is the third largest city in India and one of the fastest growing in Asia. This city is rich in culture, always changing with time but never hiding its splendid past.
    • The various ancient ruins seen in the city are silent witnesses to its magnificent history.
    • Overnight at a Hotel in Delhi.

    • Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel.
    • After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of the Walled city called Old Delhi.
    • Stay ready for the pick up from the hotel and get transported to the times of the grandeur and subsequent ruin of the Mughal Empire.
    • Colorful, vibrant, noisy and chaotic are words that best describe what many call Old Delhi, the 7th city of Delhi, which was built by the mighty Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
    • We visit India's second largest & most aesthetically designed Mosque, the Jama Masjid.
    • Then we walk through streets and markets of this 17th century imperial capital city of the Mughal empire where once royalty descended...where you savor the fragrances of the boisterous Spice Markets, one of Asia's largest and be dazzled by the glitter of India's largest Jewelry markets with a mix of walking and rickshaw rides you discover hidden gems while exploring the narrow alleys and 350-yr old markets of the city built at the acme of Mughal Empire, India's most glorious monarchy.
    • In Old Delhi you will also have an opportunity to enjoy a rickshaw ride. Rickshaw Ride: A ride in the old city market laid by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, would give you an experience of a lifetime. Pass through the colorful shops of bustling Chandni Chowk, one of the largest wholesale markets in Asia and also an important landmark in the history of India. If you feel up to it, take a short walk in the market and explore another facet of Indian life.
    • Lunch will be at local restaurant
    • Afternoon enjoy sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
    • The city named New Delhi offers more historical sites than Old Delhi. The city founded by the imperial British government founded in 1911 to move their capital from Kolkata (called Calcutta earlier)
    • The sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to Humayun’s Tomb, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
    • Overnight at a Hotel in Delhi.
    • Meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Delhi – Leh Air India Flight Departure 0635 / 0755 hrs.

    • Ready to embark on a flight from Delhi Airport to Leh with a delightful packed breakfast.
    • Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will be met by your expedition leader and transferred to your hotel. Located in the heart of the ancient city of Leh, Singge Palace. The hotel is centrally heated and solar powered, not only ensuring warmth but also ensuring that all the services are eco-friendly.
    • Rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude and rarefied air..
    • Later, have your delicious lunch.
    • Leh is at 11400 feet and the flight up from the plains means that you have to acclimatize gently without pushing yourself. The 2 days scheduled here is the minimum required as you will be going to a higher altitude and will be doing a fair amount of walking.
    • Return to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.
    • Meal – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

    • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
    • After breakfast, you set out for an extraordinary drive East heading towards Taglang La and the villages of Gya, Lhato and Meru.
    • It’s a fantastic drive taking you away from the valley of the Indus up a subsidiary valley to an extraordinary area even by Ladakhi’s standards that marks the line where the Indian mainland collided with and drove under Asian land mass. There is some dramatic scenery here and you have a chance of sighting wildlife including blue sheep, Golden eagles and Bearded vultures. Rafts of Red-billed Choughs perform synchronized aerobatics and in the fallow fields you have the chance of seeing the very beautiful Tibetan Partridge and the more common Chukar partridge.
    • Post visit, drive back to the hotel and lunch will be at the hotel.
    • After lunch, in the afternoon we will visit the local market.
    • Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
    • Meal – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

    • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, as today is all about adventures.
    • Drive west today on the road to Kargil and Srinagar, generally following the Indus River.
    • You pass through the small town of Nimmu – one of the most important in Ladakh, where the Zanskar river meets the Indus. After a little over an hour you head north on a road marked to Likir– one of Ladakh’s famous Buddhist monasteries..
    • This is all snow leopard country. The landscape here is even bigger, more expansive and open, until you turn off onto a dirt road, winding up a narrow valley, following a stream called the Ulley Chhu. Smaller valleys intersect and the guides have their heads craned all the time, scanning the hillsides and the skyline for any silhouette. This is excellent Ibex country and there are few more evocative sights than a magnificently horned male Ibex standing vigil on some impossibly narrow outcropping, a few thousand feet over a plunging cliff.
    • Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
    • Meal – Breakfast, Dinner.

    • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, as today we will be transferring to Ulley.
    • Later, proceed for Ulley.
    • Settle in on arrival and acclimatize to the higher altitude of Ulley.
    • You will be based here over 6 nights. You will explore 3 valleys, which, apart from snow leopards, are great for finding urial, Ibex, wolf and Himalayan fox. Over the next few days, you explore the area on foot and SUVs with your expert guide. You will be amazed at the sheer dedication and commitment he brings to his trade and the effort he makes to ensure that his guests leave happy. Your guide will interact closely with the local people and use the network of local intelligence to narrow down the likely sites. In the process there will also be plenty of opportunity for you to get insights into local folklore, as well as learn about local customs and traditions.
    • You will be staying at the Snow Leopard Lodge in Ulley – The home consists of 6 bedrooms, built separately from the main house with a dining room and kitchen – all in the same low stone-built building. Add to this the interest of living with a Ladakhi family in the depths of winter and understanding their life-style and you have a very special experience in store - especially sharing the large and warm kitchens that are the heart of a Ladkahi home in winter and resplendent with brass, copper and silver ornament.
    • Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
    • Meal – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

    • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
    • This morning, after breakfast, we say our goodbyes to our host and drive back to Leh town. Enroute we visit the Alchi monastery. Alchi Gompa is located near the small village of Saspol. It is one of the earliest monasteries built in Ladakh, dating from the 11th century. Because it was built before the invading wars began in the 15th century, Alchi was built on lowlands, rather than on a hilltop as others were, in order to protect them from marauding armies.
    • After the visit, we carry on our journey to Leh.
    • Upon arrival at Leh, check-in your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
    • Meal – Breakfast, Dinner.
