Established in 1992, Uzbekistan Airways is the flag carrier of Uzbekistan. The airline its hub at Tashkent International Airport. The airline provides both international and domestic flights to several destinations. In 2000, the airline had 16,296 employees. The airline also carried 2625 million passengers in 2014. Although the trend decreased to 1.9% each year but cargo handling increased by 4.6% each year. The airline was established under the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan. The airline also has a Training and Simulator Complex.

The airline fleet size is 35 which has a mixture of Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. The airline has 10 Airbus A320-200 and 2 A300-600F. The baggage must be checked 40 minutes before departure. The business class passengers can carry 30 kgs and economy class passengers can carry 20 kgs. The size of the luggage should be 56x45x25cm. The birth certificate of the infant should be brought along if traveling with them.
