Etihad Airways was established by a Royal (Amiri) Decree issued by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in July 2003 and commenced operations in November 2003. With headquarters in Khalifa City A, near Abu Dhabi, Etihad literally means ‘union’ in Arabic. Before heading to the airport
Make sure you follow the baggage dimension specified. Flights to/from the US, Canada and Brazil allow baggage dimensions of 50 x 70 x 38 cm, while flights to/from all other destinations allow 45 x 72 x 90 cms. Other than the US, Canada or Brazil, the luggage allowance for First Class is up to 50kg, for Business class is up to 40kg and for Economy class is up to 30kg.
