The second largest airline of Taiwan, EVA Air is a Styrax rated 5-star airline operating from its base at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei, Taiwan. As a Star Alliance member, EVA Air connects passengers to 1330 destinations in more than 192 countries, apart from its own services to 60 international destinations in Asia, Mainland China, Europe, North America and Oceania.

As of July 2016, EVA Air has a total fleet size of 70 with both Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Currently they have 22 Airbus A321-200, 5 A330-200, 5 A330-300, and 28 Boeing 777-300ER, 3 of 747-400BDSF, and 3 of 747- 400F. Boeing 787-9, 787-10, and 777F are in the pipeline to join the growing fleet of EVA Air.

There are five main cabins on EVA Air; Royal Laurel Class with comfortable sleeping space, Premium Laurel Class with luxurious seating arrangement, Business Class for the workaholics with a mini-office set-up, Elite Class with extra leg room, and the Economy Class with redesigned reclining chairs for extra comfort.
EVA Air has installed Star Gallery, the most advanced in-flight entertainment system, which has a wide range of on-demand content, both audio, and video, to select from; these include TV shows, movies, songs, radio, news and video games. Baggage information
Free checked-in baggage allowance differs on each route, but generally, Business, Premium Laurel, and Royal Laurel passengers are allowed 2 pieces each with a total weight not exceeding 40 kg and a maximum of 32 kg per piece; Elite Class passengers are allowed 2 baggage each with a total weight of 35 kg and no luggage exceeding a maximum weight of 28 kg; Economy Class passengers are allowed 2 pieces each with a total weight of 30 kg and no piece exceeding 23 kg.
For cabin baggage, Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel, and Business Class passengers are allowed two pieces each and no piece can exceed 7 kg (15 lb). Elite and Economy Class passengers are permitted to carry one piece each weighing no more than 7 kg (15lb). There is extra check-in baggage allowance for Infinity MileageLands card members.
