Hong Kong Airlines

    Established in 2006, Hong Kong Airlines has corporate headquarters in Tung Chung. It has its main hub at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline has grown to become acclaimed airline with quality service on board and airports. Hong Kong Airlines received the esteemed 4-star rating from Skytrax since 2011. In 2015, the airline received the HKIA Airport Safety Recognition Scheme Award. In 2013, the passenger traffic exceeded 4 million.

    The fleet

    Hong Kong operates the youngest flights in the fleet. The average age is only 4 years of the flights. The airline has 34 flights operating on several international and domestic routes. In 2013, the airlines launched new passenger route between Hong Kong and Maldives. The airline also replaced Boeing flights with Airbus fleet. The aircraft include 9 Airbus A330-200s and Airbus A330- 300, 11 Airbus A320s, and 5 Airbus A330-200Fs.

    Destinations

    Hong Kong Airline launched the first route between Hong Kong, Okinawa, and Bali. The airline increased passenger traffic to over 1 million by serving 19 destinations. In 2012, the airline started services from Hong Kong to Taipei. The airline also launched full cargo route from Hong Kong to Hangzhou. Recently, the airlines announced a non-stop flight between Hong Kong to Vancouver beginning from June 30, 2017.

    Business Class

    The airline operates loyalty programs for Business class passengers with priority check-in lounge access, mileage, and baggage allowance. The business class passengers get passes to the Airlines Lounge called Club Bauhinia which started back in 2004. A brand new lounge will open in 2017. The baggage allowance for business class is 30 kgs.

    Onboard Facilities

    The flights come furnished with Wi-Fi services and AVOD entertainment system. The airline also has its in-flight magazine called Aspire for the passengers. Hong Kong Airlines always strives to promote local cuisine on the airlines. Special meal orders from world cuisine can be ordered 24 hours before departure of the flight. If anyone wants to celebrate the important occasion the airline must be informed 48 hours before departure. This will be subject to availability of the products required.

    Online booking and Check In

    Online scheduling and booking for Hong Kong Airlines can be done online at Musafir. The Hong Kong Airports launched Self Drop Baggage counters open to passengers with 1 checked baggage. The online check-in is available from the website and mobile application. Check-in counters open 2 hours 30 minutes before departure. The boarding gate will be printed on the backside of the boarding pass for the convenience of the passengers.
