SWISS

    Founded in 2002 as Swiss Air Lines Ltd, SWISS is the national airline of Switzerland. It is a part of the Lufthansa Group and a member of the Star Alliance, with headquarters at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg near Basel, Switzerland. It also has offices at Zurich Airport in Kloten, Switzerland. The company's registered office is in Basel. Its main focus is Geneva International Airport and EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.

    The Fleet

    SWISS owns a total of 91aircraft, of which five are Airbus A319s, 23 are Airbus A320s, 8 are Airbus A321s,14 Airbus A330s, 15 Airbus A340s and 20 Avro RJ100s. SWISS complements its fleet with aircraft that are operated by wet-lease partners, including crews of 2 units of Bombardier Dash, 8 units of Q400 and 4 units of Fokker 100. With its fleet, the airline transports over 16 million passengers every year.

    It serves over 104 destinations in 48 countries all over the world, from Zurich, Basel and Geneva.     On Board Facilities

    On all inter-European flights, SWISS offers drink services. Depending on the time of day and duration of the flight, it may also offer snacks. On shorter flights, it serves cold snacks, while hot snacks are offered on longer flights. The Europe economy class services include sandwiches from a Swiss bakery. In addition, Swiss chocolate is provided prior to landing to all passengers.
