• Personal Bank statement for last 6 months (updated & stamp by the bank).

• In the case that the applicant is being sponsored a letter of economic support from the sponsor / person paying for the whole trip to Colombia should be provided and the identification documents of that person.
• If the applicant is a minor, he or she must provide a birth certificate translated into Spanish and duly legalized, accompanied by a letter of request from the parent who will be responsible for the minor within the national territory.

• If the person applying is being invited to Colombia, a letter of invitation from the person who is inviting informing the relationship and details of the trip together with a copy of his/her Colombian ID (Cedula de Ciudadania) is requested.
• In the case that the applicant is being sponsored a letter of economic support from the sponsor / person paying for the whole trip to Colombia should be provided and the identification documents of that person.
• If the applicant is a minor, he or she must provide a birth certificate translated into Spanish and duly legalized, accompanied by a letter of request from the parent who will be responsible for the minor within the national territory.

Note:

• Dear traveler: remember that to travel to certain regions of the country it is required to have been vaccinated against yellow fever at least 15 days before the start of the trip. This vaccine is recommended for those who travel to the departments of La Guajira, Norte de Santander, Putumayo and the regions, such as: The Eastern Plains, the Amazon, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the entire Atlantic Coast. This measure is mandatory for travelers going to or coming from these countries: Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Brazil.
• The Embassy may request additional information/documentation as deemed necessary.
• Processing time: minimum 15 working days.

After the interview and acceptance of the visa application, it will take a minimum of 3-5 working days for visa processing.

No, the visa application fee is non-refundable in all cases, including if the visa application is rejected.

The passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of travel.
